Rapperswil is a small town at the opposite end of Lake Zurich with Rose Gardens, the Castle, the deer park on the Lindenhof and the picturesque Old Town. Best visited by train that goes along Lake Zurich and taking the steamer back to Zurich.
Bern
Bern, the capital is an hour by train from Zurich.
Luzern
Lucerne is 60 minutes from Zurich and has an attractive townscape, and the historic Chapel Bridge.
