Its arts and historical attractions can be seen in an easy day tour starting at Bahnhofstrasse the central point of Zurich. Walk towards Lake Zurich and along the way you’ll find the well-stocked Kunsthaus and Landesmuseum (National Swiss Museum) for insights into the history of Switzerland.

For a historical attraction detour set in a charming environment take a walk through Zurich’s Old Town along its famous quays such as Limmatquai, and Uto Quai along the shores of Lake Zurich. Also worth a visit are the St. Peter's Church and the twelfth century Grossmunster cathedral with its impressive twin towers.
Zurich’s fun attractions that the kids are bound to enjoy include Zurich’s Zoological Garden, it’s beautiful Botanic Gardens and Pastorini, a toy shop specializing in ‘traditional’ wooden toys. There’s also the Zurich Toy Museum for a walk down memory lane. The whole family will enjoy a boat trip on Lake Zurich which lasts from 1-4 hours, and is one of the best ways of seeing Zurich. Chocolate funs will be partial to a visit to the famous Lindt chocolate factory, which also includes a museum dedicated to the tasty treats. |
